This month my grandma turns 90!!
We are all heading up to Cherry Grove, AB (up by Cold Lake)
to CELEBRATE!!!
All of my aunts & uncles will be there.
My grandma & grandpa had 9 kids.
The funny thing is after 2 kids, they realized that their names started to spell
my grandparent's names... so they kept with the order and spelt LAVERN & JOE.
My grandma's family (the Hatch's) moved from Glenwood, AB all the way up to Cherry Grove, AB and this is from when we were celebrating that event almost 2 years ago. She WALKED THE ENTIRE WAY!!! Not many 13 year olds are up for that! She even made it on the news.
And don't worry, she looks like a country girl here, but she can pull out her leather jacket & boots and dance up a scene ;)
Anyways, love her dearly. And because of her I'm headed up there, with 2 kids by myself. Yup, so not excited for that drive, but with snacks, Dr. Pepper, and movies for Mya on the ipod, hopefully we'll all survive. I CAN guarantee that it will be a tonne of fun once we're there!!!
And I get to take a pit stop along the way and visit my friends. Maren had a baby girl not too long ago and so I'm excited to meet her!!!! And stock up on my ethnic foods. Some yummy Thai and Indian food is in the works ;) I'm already dreaming of Spring rolls,Satay's, Butter Chicken, Panir and so much more.

Yah. Dr. Pepper and movies for Mya will be perfect. We all love our DP, no?

Oh, I SO wish we could have been there. But Arizona is so far away and Jeron can't get that much work off. :(
She is an amazing woman. She always has a great smile and a wonderful laugh. Have fun and be safe. I love her stories and words of wisdom.
