Edmonton

We headed up north for the long weekend & had so much fun! I didn't haul my camera out as much as I should have, but it made it more relaxing for me. We got up there Saturday morning and did a little shopping & hung out with John's sister Liz. We went swimming, got pizza & a movie and then of course had slurpees!

We got to see my brother's place.... it's INCREDIBLE!!! He's down in the Millcreek Ravine (literally) and has a home worthy of being in all the architectural design magazines! It's the dream home of dream homes... and surprisingly kid proof. (for the most part) I could go on more... as the more I think of his place, ours feels under par and I still need my house to feel pretty 'cool' ;) The road down to my brothers is at a pretty steep incline, so when we woke up Monday morning the area above us had a waterline burst, and our van was parked right in the river of flowing water/ice ;) Brian has great neighbours that helped us out - but it was an adventure!

We met up with some friends at West Ed & took the kids on some rides. Mya was in HEAVEN! And of course neither of us brought our cameras but c'est la vie! It was a busy weekend but we had so much fun seeing friends & family!!

This is Mya with her cousin Emily. They were best friends and worst enemies all at the same time... but put two (only child) 2 yr olds together and that's bound to happen.

Here's just a glimpse of my brother's place ;) I have to point out that Brian made his copper mantle around the fireplace!!

Wondering what this is? - it's deep fried mars bars ;) And they tasted great!

Okay, so not all of Bri's place is kid proof, but where there's no railing it sure made for a fun slide. As long as Mya was supervised.

2 of my brothers have a contest to win the favorite uncle award. They are always trying to get Mya to 'pick' her favorite & she loves them both, so she ends up just going back & forth.

As for me... I'll post some more photos later - I have now made it to 34 weeks & just hold my breathe I make it longer than I did with Mya ;) I'm measuring small, so I get to have another ultrasound. Maybe now they can 100% confirm if it's a boy or girl!!! I'm still counting on a boy- and maybe that because I paid to find out the gender & that's what they told me... but still - it'd be nice to eliminate all doubt ;) My other ultrasound in Leth told me it's a girl.... go figure.

Other than that, my dad fell & broke his wrist over the weekend. They were out at the cabin & that's where he took the spill. I'm just glad that he's made it over 40 years of having his dental practice & he's been without injury. At least he has 'hand' insurance... and now perhaps he can catch up on his lack of sleep! (midst T3's)

Wow, that house is BEAUTIFUL. I'm super jealous. Glad that you had a great weekend. I love the favorite Uncle competition. My sisters all fight over this one too. It's fun stuff.
