Here is our newest addition to our family...
Eden Lily Barnes
7 lbs. 5 oz.

She is SUCH a good baby. I am really blessed.
I think Heavenly Father knew I had to have a docile baby, after our fireball Addison ;)
Here's the shortened version of how it went down. I woke up Monday morning at 3 with one contraction and then rolled over and went back to sleep. I woke up at 4:30 am with a contraction. Then I timed the next 2 or 3 contractions and they were 7 minutes apart, so I figured it was go time. We called John's mom and she came over and we were on our way by 5:30 am. (It was a bit of a blur, really). Things started to get more intense as we drove in, and I was encouraging John to pick up the pace. He was already speeding but I was starting to panic about delivering in the car! We get there, I was 8 cm, and from the time we got to the hospital, and when she was born was 20 minutes. So much for my epidural! If I had to pick a better delivery between the 3, this was it. I had great nurses and doctor so that made me happy. I don't know if they realize how much a good nurse makes all the difference ~ anyways, that's the scoop.
She has already surpassed her birth weight (at one week) and gained 7 oz on top of that. I'm not used to having a baby that will just eat and not struggle with that. Like I said, I feel really blessed. I have had lots of help, dinners brought and visitors. So, thank you to those that know who you are, I really appreciate all the little things that have been done for our family, especially with my mom being so far away.
Now to go have a nap.

I felt so bad at the hospital -- I was so worried about Mason making a mess that I totally forgot to ask what you had named her! She is beautiful, I love her name, and I am SO glad she's a good baby for you. Enjoy naps when you can, and hopefully I'll see you again soon!
Weeee! She is so beautiful! I already checked out all the pics on FB and she is a doll! I am sure her sisters just love her to pieces! And hopefully those girls are letting you nap! I can't believe (well, I can because it's YOU) that you had your baby after 20 mins of arriving at the hospital! I have to be in labour 2 ins apart for half a day before they will admit me into the hospital! My babies like it inside and apparently yours are ready to come OUT! Congrats!!
I love the name you choose for her--Eden Lily is very beautiful. I'm also jealous of her mane! Girlfriend has more hair than me! All my best to you and your family.
